We keep it straightforward. If you have a clean record, a reliable car, and a genuine desire to help students, you're already most of the way there.

All drivers transporting students in Pennsylvania must meet state requirements under Act 34, Act 151, and Act 114 (collectively known as PA Act 153), including a PA State Police criminal background check (~$22), a PA Child Abuse History Clearance (~$13), and an FBI fingerprint-based federal criminal check (~$24.95, increasing to $27.95 starting October 1, 2026). These fees are paid directly to each provider. After your first month of active driving, Altrip reimburses you $100 toward your documentation costs. We guide you through every form.
